Follow-First Method
The Follow-First method is the most common way to add Twitter followers. In this method, specific users are followed with the goal that some will follow-back.
The amount of users that follow-back is always different, and is based on your targeting parameters. A good follow-back ratio is 15 to 25%.
To gain targeted followers, users are filtered based on the targeting parameters. Then, the follow-first method comes into play:
- Follow Users
- Portion of users follow-back
- Un-follow anyone that doesn’t follow back
This method builds a slow and steady base of targeted followers. Alternatively, the Favorites Method is now available and does not require following.
